The BBC scoops up the five-part period-set adaptation of Richard Flanagan’s Booker Prize-winning novel, The Narrow Road to the Deep North.

With Season 2 arriving on ITV in January 2025 and later this year on Sundance Now, The Dry nabs a third season commission.

The Dry's second season has begun filming in Ireland with Fís Eireann/Screen Ireland and ITV Studios helping to produce the Elemental Pictures series, and brand new cast joining the award-winning drama.

The Dry will return to Sundance Now for Season 2 in 2024 with double the sobriety, according to the series creators.
