About Us
Formerly funded by D.C.'s local PBS station WETA, Telly Visions is relaunching as an independent publication. We are a website about British TV and culture, made by Anglophiles, for Anglophiles. Whether you're a fan of empire waists, deerstalkers, or blue police boxes, we're here to bring you the latest news, reviews, recaps, and more, all about the shows and movies you love.
Naturally, there have been a few changes now that we've struck out on our own. We're a little smaller to start, and we're trying to be a bit more nimble in how we cover all British entertainment properties out there these days. But the biggest change, of course, is that we are now officially a subscription publication.
Our free tier is honestly pretty substantial – all news updates and announcements are free to read, as are our monthly streaming lists and series or streamer-specific curation guides. While our news posts and guides will be free for everyone, all our recaps, reviews, interviews, and Lacy's long-winded rants will all be going behind the paywall. We're adding a comments feature for paid users, as well as access to the full archives from the site's previous iteration.
If you like what we do and you love British TV, we're humbly asking those who can afford it to upgrade to a paid subscription. More subscribers mean we have more flexibility in what we cover. They mean we can hire back some of our former writers and add more regular recaps and reviews to our coverage plans. Heck, they may mean we'll bring the podcast back one day. (Lacy really wants to!) So please sign up today.

Our Writers

Lacy Baugher
Lacy's love of British TV primarily involves evangelizing all things Doctor Who and watching as many period dramas as possible. York apologist and Ninth Doctor enthusiast, you can find her other writing all around the entertainment web.

Ani Bundel
Ani Bundel has been blogging professionally since 2010. This is her second major independent site launch. A DC native and Keyboard Khaleesi, she spends all her non-writing time photographing her cats and obsessing over Gyrotonics. (Yes, she writes about it too.) Regular bylines also found on MSNOW.

Janet Mullany
Writer Janet Mullany is from England, drinks a lot of tea, and likes Jane Austen, reading, and gasping in shock at costumes in historical TV dramas. Her household near Washington, DC, includes a badly behaved cat about whom she frequently boasts.

Dr. Ellen Moody
A published scholar, Ellen holds a Ph.D in English Lit, taught in senior colleges for 27 years, and now teaches in lifelong learning programs. She loves movies & TV shows and has decided to spend what retirement is granted to her writing about them.

Marni Cerise
A writer since her childhood introduction to Shel Silverstein, Marni adores film, cats, Brits, and the Oxford comma. She studied screenwriting and has written movie, TV, and pop culture reviews. Find her on Instagram and BlueSky.

Sophie Brookover
Sophie has been steeped in British TV since her parents let her watch the Jeremy Brett adaptation of Sherlock Holmes. She loves mysteries, espionage thrillers, documentaries, and costume dramas. You can find her on all the platforms as @sophiebiblio.
