PBS Releases First Trailer for ‘The Durrells in Corfu’ Season 3
It’s a strangely bittersweet and exciting time to be an American fan of British family drama The Durrells in Corfu.
The series, based on conservationist Gerald Durrell’s trio of memoirs about his family’s time on the Greek island in the 1920s, will end after its fourth and final season, which just kicked off filming in the U.K. Yet, it’s hard to be too sad about this announcement just yet, as American fans still haven’t seen the drama’s third season yet, which was broadcast overseas earlier this year. So, in the strictest sense, we still have two full seasons to spend with the Durrell family, even if the series is officially wrapping up next year.
In short: Enjoy it while you can, folks.
Season 3 of The Durrells in Corfu will air on Masterpiece beginning September 30, and PBS just dropped the first trailer for the family drama’s Stateside debut.
Watch for yourselves below:
Star Keeley Hawes returns as Durrell family matriarch Louisa, alongside her fictional brood played by Josh O’Connor (Larry), Callum Woodhouse (Leslie), Daisy Waterstone (Margo) and Milo Parker (Gerry).
As Season 3 begins, the Durrells all look to tackle new challenges in their idyllic island home. Louisa seems determined to focus on her family rather than her love life, while Larry struggles to write, Leslie juggles multiple girlfriends, Gerry’s menagerie expands (again) and Margot takes up a new hobby. All in the midst of some truly amazing scenery, of course.
