It’s official: Victoria has been renewed for a third season!  

Ahead of the series’ Season 2 return in America next month, PBS and ITV announced that stars Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes would both be back for the third run of the popular period drama, which chronicles the early life and reign of Queen Victoria.  

Just in time for Christmas, Masterpiece is rerunning Season 1 of Victoria so you can have a royal holiday.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas for popular period drama Victoria!

ITV dropped a trailer for the series’ first ever Christmas special, which is set to debut this holiday season. (But, sadly, us Americans will have to wait a bit longer to see it for ourselves.)

There are less than two months to go until the premiere of Victoria Season 2 on Masterpiece. This is great news in and of itself, obviously. But it also means that the floodgates of promotion are officially open. (This is a good thing, by the way.)

With only a few short weeks to go until Season 2 begins, prepare yourselves to see all kinds of trailers, promotional clips, behind-the-scenes photos and cast interviews start popping up all over. It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and a real balm to the spirits of US fans who had to watch our UK friends get all the goodies a couple months ago. Get ready to rejoice.

The second season of Victoria will (finally) come to America in January, and Masterpiece has released its first new teaser trailer for the popular period drama’s return.

In what is potentially the best news ever for fans of the popular period drama Victoria, a familiar face will be rejoining star Jenna Coleman this season. Rufus Sewell, who played the generally swoon-worthy Lord Melbourne will be back for Season 2. 

Yes, dreams can come true, y’all.

It’s official: The highly-anticipated second season of popular period drama Victoria will premiere in January 2018 on Masterpiece.

Victoria’s first season was quite a success here in the U.S., clocking in at over 16.2 million viewers. That’s the second highest-rated PBS drama in 20 years – second, of course, only to the mega-popular Downton Abbey. So it probably shouldn’t surprise anyone that Victoria is getting the exact same scheduling treatment Downton did.

In honor of Victoria Day, ITV and Masterpiece released a first look clip at the highly anticipated second season of the period drama that bears the queen’s name, Victoria. Still celebrated in various places around the world – it’s an actual federal holiday in Canada – Victoria Day marks the anniversary of the British monarch’s birth.

The footage, featuring stars Jenna Coleman and Tom Hughes in their roles as Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, is the first we’ve seen to date from Victoria Season 2.
