‘Thor’s’ Loki Arguing with Small Children is the Best Thing You Will See All Day
Don’t believe it? This is what happened when Hiddleston showed up – in costume and character – as Loki in front of a massive Hall H crowd at San Diego Comic Con last July. It seems that both the actor and the character command this sort of allegiance wherever he goes, too. Non-comic book fans may recognize Hiddleston from his many other roles, most notably as King Henry V in Shakespeare miniseries The Hollow Crown. But it’s really Loki that the actor’s known for – and with good reason. He’s pretty fantastic in the role.
Despite the fact that the character of Loki hasn’t actually headlined a Marvel film of his own, Hiddleston’s been busy generating nearly as much (possibly more?) buzz than Thor star Chris Hemsworth during the run up to the release of the Dark World sequel. (British villain effect? Probably. We were all talking about Cumberbatch’s John Harrison back when the Star Trek sequel came out too.)
And now, thanks to the help of Comedy Central, the best thing you will see all day – nay, possibly all week – has arrived. Taking the epic Thor and Loki sibling rivalry into the real world, they’ve made a video in which Loki asks a group of pre-school children which brother they prefer.
(Spoiler: It’s even more awesome than you’re expecting. It really is.)
We can only hope that this video is part of a series and that more clips of Loki Doing Real World Things (or at least arguing with these kids some more) are in store for us as we count down to the Dark World premiere on November 8.
