'The Secrets She Keeps' Season 2 Will Air on Sundance Now in September

Given the plethora of streaming networks under the larger banner of AMC Networks, you might be forgiven for missing out on some of the service's more niche offerings, particularly when Acorn TV is already well known as a destination for British television fans. But, Anglophiles shouldn't sleep on Sundance Now, either, which is slowly carving out a space for itself as the home of more offbeat prestige style dramas, like Showtrial, The Suspect, and A Discovery of Witches. (Many of which can also be found on flagship streamer AMC+.)
Australian drama The Secrets She Keeps premiered in 2020 and was one of the streamer's big releases of that year, alongside David Tennant's Des and Joanne Froggatt's The Commons. The series is based on the book of the same name by Michael Robotham. It's a noir-ish literary thriller that follows a chance encounter between two pregnant women — one a low-wage worker, the other a well-off social media influencer — in a Sydney supermarket that ultimately gives rise to jealousy and obsession.
Season 2 is set two years after the events of the first. Troubled Agatha Fyfle (Laura Carmichael) must face up to the consequences of kidnapping newborn baby Ben Shaughnessy, as the child's traumatized mother, Meghan (Jessica De Gouw), tries to put her family's life back together after their ordeal. But explosive secrets will spin Meghan onto a catastrophic course, while Agatha's new infatuation sees them collide in a way that no one will anticipate.
The new episodes see Todd Lasance (Without Remorse) taking over the role of Meghan's adulterous husband Jack from Michael Dorman (For All Mankind). Ryan Corr (House of the Dragon) returns as Jack's BFF Simon, who may also have had a fling with his wife. New faces include Miranda Frangou (Elvis), as a student podcaster who is determined to tell a different side of Agatha's story.

The Secrets She Keeps Season 2 arrives on Thursday, September 1, on Sundance Now, just a few short weeks after its August U.K. premiere.
