Acorn TV Sets Premiere for 'My Life is Murder' Season 4

Popular crime drama My Life Is Murder Season 1 only just found its way to PBS Passport for new fans to discover the series, but for those who have been watching since it debuted in 2019, there's good news about new episodes. Season 4 finally has a release date in the U.S., with a planned release date to return to Acorn TV with a two-episode premiere in June 2024. However, the series won't just be returning to Acorn TV. As it becomes the new standard in the AMC Network universe has become, Acorn TV and BBC America are now co-premiering series, with two weekly episodes on both platforms when the new season begins. In most cases, this is helping supply BBC America with actual British content. In the case of My Life is Murder, it's supplying them with New Zealand content, but hey, close enough, I suppose.

Starring cult favorite Lucy Lawless (of Xena: Warrior Princess fame), My Life is Murder revolves around the fearless and unapologetic investigator Alexa Crowe, a detective who retired from her position in Australia's Victoria force at the beginning of Season 1 to return to her home country, only to discover you can take the crime solver out of the police force, but you can't stop her from going around solving crimes. Despite taking up baking, Crowe has simply started pulling double duty, arresting the bad guys in between the dough rising.

The logline for Season 4 promises that "this new season features a slew of puzzling cases ranging from homicidal hairdressers to wicked widows and brutal ballet to deadly soufflés." Personally, I am not here for deadly soufflés. Stab them through the heart and see which one of us collapses quicker.
