'Killing Eve' Renewed for Season 4
BBC America's buzzy female assassin drama Killing Eve has been given an early Season 4 renewal ahead of its return for a third season later this year.
The series will now run into 2021, with 2018 Emmy winner Jodie Comer as serial assassin Villanelle and 2018 Golden Globe winner Sandra Oh as MI-5 agent Eve Polastri both returning. The already greenlit Season 3 will premiere in at some as yet to be determined point spring, as Suzanne Heathcote takes over from Emerald Fennell as the lead writer. Phoebe Waller-Bridge penned Killing Eve's first season, and a new female lead writer will take over in the series' fourth. (This is an interesting - and unconventional - tradition, to be sure, but one that seems to be largely working for the show thus far, if ratings and fan reaction are anything to go by.)
“How could we not have massive confidence in Killing Eve? It has won big in every major award show and is the highest growing show on U.S. television for six years,” said Sarah Barnett, President, AMC Networks Entertainment Group and AMC Studios.
