The trailer for BBC America's Discworld-adjacent series The Watch puts a whole new spin on Terry Pratchett's classic series of novels.

Killing Eve, the dark, female-led cat and mouse drama that caught the imaginations of television fans last year, will return for its (extremely) highly anticipated second season in April.

The question, of course, is can it recreate the magic of its first?

If the first trailer is anything to go by, then the answer is a resounding yes.

Down the dial from your local PBS station, BBC America debuts Killing Eve, a murderously fun cat-and-mouse game starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer.

The BBC has released the first trailer for its upcoming supernatural thriller The Living and the Dead.

The six-part drama stars Merlin’s Colin Morgan and Line of Duty’s Charlotte Spencer, along with several other familiar faces including Atlantis’ Robert Emms, The White Queen’s David Oakes and Glue’s Steve Oram. 

Rejoice, fellow book fans: The first trailer for period fantasy drama Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell has arrived!

The BBC’s seven-part series will adapt the massively popular book of the same name by Susanna Clarke, which stars Bertie Carvell and Eddie Marsan as two nineteenth-century men in an alternate history where magic is widely acknowledged but rarely practiced. The cast also includes Charlotte Riley, Alice Engle, Marco Warren, Samuel West and more.

Think back to August 2013. Besides the fact that the weather was likely much warmer than it is right now, you may recall that was also when the very first episode of Broadchurch aired on BBC America. An eleven-year-old boy’s body was found on the beach and his death was ruled a homicide. And our minds (for the next eight weeks at least) were occupied with the question, “Who killed Danny Latimer?”

In the course of the investigation DI Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and DS Ellie Miller (Olivia Colman) pursued leads involving friends and neighbors of the Latimer family. Even Danny’s dad, Mark (Andrew Buchan) was considered a suspect at one point.

In the end, however, Ellie Miller’s own husband, Joe (Matthew Gravelle), confessed to and was arrested for the child’s murder. This bombshell shattered both of the families involved and shook all Broadchurch citizens, not to mention the viewing audience, to their core.

In case you weren’t aware, the US premiere of the next installment of Broadchurch is nigh. It’s Wednesday, March 4th at 10 pm on BBC America to be exact.

I’ve not watched any of the new episodes in advance but I as I understand it, old cases will be revisited rather than jumping into a whole new murder investigation. I also gather from the UK ratings that the series two started strong, dropped sharply in the middle and rebounded for the finale. Having read that series creator Chris Chibnall envisioned the story as a trilogy; it’s understandable that the narrative could have gotten bogged down in the middle. Hopefully an exciting conclusion is on the horizon, especially considering that series three has recently been commissioned.

Despite my stringent desire to avoid spoilers, I thought it might be helpful to introduce you to some of the new faces you’ll be getting to know in the weeks to come.

The first teaser snippet for upcoming drama Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond has officially arrived – and offers a tantalizing, but incredibly brief look at the upcoming miniseries focused on the life of James Bond author Ian Fleming.

The four-part series, which is a co-production from Sky Atlantic and BBC America, is set to explore the life of the 007 scribe, which was as dramatic as any Bond film. Before he was an author Fleming himself was a spy and notorious playboy, and these experiences provided much of his inspiration for Bond. Get more details and watch the teaser trailer below.

Exciting news for fans of quality crime dramas – or really just great British television in general – Luther is returning for a third series later this year!

In this suspenseful (okay, often downright dark) drama, Idris Elba plays Detective Chief Inspector John Luther, a brilliant but haunted homicide detective who works for the Serous and Serial Crime Unit, tracking down the worst sorts of offenders. Elba won a Golden Globe in 2011 for his performance as the obsessive Luther, who can’t quite shake the darkness of the crimes with which he deals.

The four new episodes will see Luther faced with two conflicting crimes to investigate and a ruthless cop determined to bring him down. Warren Brown is back as the loyal DS Ripley and Ruth Wilson will reprise her role as serial killer Alice Morgan, who has a rather complicated relationship with Luther. Resident Evil’s Sienna Guillory will be introduced as a new love interest for the detective, so it seems Luther might be finding a bit of personal happiness for once, as strange as that sounds.

The gentlemen in H Division will apparently be sleuthing out violent killers a bit longer – a second series of period crime drama Ripper Street has been confirmed by the BBC/BBC America co-production team. The series stars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn and Adam Rothenberg as detectives in Victorian London’s East End, solving crimes in the wake of the grisly Jake the Ripper murders.

Production on the eight-episode second series is slated to begin sometime this Spring, and new episodes will premiere sometime in 2014. Given the fact that the American airing of Ripper Street is only about three weeks behind the UK, it seems safe to assume we can expect a similar set up next year. (Not perfect, but easily manageable. And, hey, it could be worse.) Details below.

BBC One’s new crime drama Ripper Street makes its way across pond this weekend to BBC America, giving US viewers a chance to see the gripping, often grisly, period drama for themselves.

The eight-part series stars Matthew Macfadyen, Jerome Flynn and Adam Rothberg (among others) and is set in London’s ll focus on the investigations of the H Division of the London police department and their attempts to battle crime and keep the peace in the East End. It premieres tonight at 9pm on BBC America and I can’t imagine I’m the only Anglophile out there who is curious to check it out.
