Watch the Trailer for 'The Missing' Spin-Off 'Baptiste"
Masterpiece has released a trailer for Baptiste, a mystery spin-off headed to PBS stations nationwide later this year that's based on a popular and beloved character from the series The Missing.
Tchéky Karyo will reprise his role as the insightful and stubborn French detective Julien Baptiste for this six-part series, which will also feature The Night Manager's Tom Hollander and Call the Midwife's Jessica Raine in key roles.
As the series begins, a retired and restless Baptiste is visiting Amsterdam where his daughter has recently given birth. A lunch with old flame Martha Horchner, now Amsterdam’s chief of police, turns out to be more than a catch-up on old times: she wants his help finding Natalie, a missing girl who is the niece of Englishman Edward Stratton. Martha believes the case is connected to a Romanian sex trafficking gang and that it is vital to find Natalie soon.
