'The Outlaws' Returns to Prime Video in May for Season 3

It's been a good minute since we last heard about Stephen Merchant's The Outlaws, the pandemic-era comedy co-produced by the BBC and Amazon's Prime Video. Season 1 was an unexpected breath of fresh air when it arrived in 2022, and Season 2 came fast on its heels, partly because, due to lockdowns, restrictions, and whatnot, the BBC opted to greenlight two seasons sight unseen. (It's easy to do when Jeff Bezos' TV studio, funded with the money found under the couch cushions listed on the Prime store delivery market, is footing the bill.) However, once Seasons 1 and 2 were over, there was no making a Season 3 appear instantly, no matter how fast the two companies announced a renewal.

Besides, the money that Prime was shelling out for star power like Christopher Walken couldn't stop him from taking a role in Dune, and that put everything else on the back burner if the show wanted to wait for Frank to return. As it was, the Season 3 renewal didn't mention Walken, which was a cautious choice considering what was at play. But apparently, Walken wanted to come back, and Merchant was willing to wait.... and the rest, as they say, is the way television is made and why shows get entirely forgotten about in the streaming era until they suddenly pop up again, announcing their impending return.

Though The Outlaws' return is just around the corner, it's not so soon that a trailer has arrived. (That would be silly.) Instead, we have the first images from the new season, a plot synopsis, and proof of Walken's return for Season 3.
