Telly Visions: The Discord

One of our goals here at Telly Visions is to create a community of people like us, Anglophiles who love British television and culture and are looking for people to hang out and talk about it with. To that end, we have taken the 2020s up on its latest social media trend and started a Discord server for all our paying subscribers.

For those who are about to join: this Discord is our house. We are inviting you in, and we want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In that spirit of being good hosts, we will be applying the same guidelines to our server as we do to our comments section here.

This is not a lunchroom. It is a dinner party. Conduct yourselves accordingly.

We do not require our subscribers to use their legal names; however, we do request that you comport yourself as if you were. As this is the Discord, not the comments section, we expect people to speak more freely than they might in public. That being said, we expect everyone to be polite, to comment in good faith, and to trust that those you are chatting with are doing the same. Disagreements will happen, but arguing into the margins is not acceptable. This isn’t a Slack; The Nothing will not come and erase everything every 90 days, so there is no need to fight to have the last word.
