'Harry Wild' Renewed for Season 4
Acorn TV has officially confirmed that fan-favorite breakout hit Harry Wild will return for a fourth season. The niche streaming service, which is far and away AMC Network’s most-watched service of its little federation of offerings, made the announcement with the release of a pair of photos marking the start of filming for the first two episodes of the new season. Series star (and driving force) Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman) will return once more as the retired English Teacher-turned-Amateur Detective, Harriet “Harry” Wild, with Rohan Nedd (Whitstable Pearl) as her unlikely partner in crime solving, Fergus, for a new series of weekly cases to solve
The Irish-set mystery series, which is one of Acorn TV’s co-productions with ZDF, has maintained its status as a top performer for the platform in its second and third seasons, both of which were filmed back-to-back in 2022 and released in 2023 and 2024, respectively. The release of Season 3 was a big enough event for AMCN’s division that the company used its arrival to roll out the new overhauled look for the streaming service. “We’re thrilled to be kicking off production on a fourth season of Harry Wild with our fantastic cast and crew in Ireland,” Acorn Media’s managing director Catherine Mackin said in a statement. “With this series, the delightful Jane Seymour has become a beloved member of the Acorn TV family; we can’t wait to see what Harry has up her sleeve this season and what mysteries she will solve in her own unique way.”
Season 3 finished airing in June 2024, and filming for the new set of episodes was underway in less than eight weeks in Dublin and is expected to continue until the end of the summer. However, unlike last time, production is underway for Season 4, and notably only Season 4, a reminder that Acorn TV’s fortunes (like those of their parent company) are at a point where it can only think ahead in months, not years.
