'Outlander' Season 7, Part 2 to Return in November
Happy World Outlander Day to all who celebrate. For the Outlander faithful, the past few years have been hard, as Seasons 7 and 8 slowly dribble out, the former cleaved into two parts, the latter most likely to do the same. (And that's not even beginning to consider Outlander: Blood of My Blood, which is in production, but has no premiere date of any sort.) But the Doughtlander finally has an end date in sight (at least for a little while) as Season 7, Part 2 officially announces when it will return.
Considering it's been nearly a year since Outlander Season 7, Part 1 debuted, it seems almost cruel to realize that Part 2's release date is not right around the corner with this announcement. In fact, for Americans, we'll be well through Spooky Season and prepping to brine turkeys before it debuts. But at least, as part of today's celebration, fans are getting the first footage for the second half, as Starz releases the first trailer for Season 7, Part 2, along with the confirmation of the November 2024 release.
Also, there is some news for Season 8, the final season of the original series, which is at long last prepping to roll into production. The ten-installment final season will add three new cast members for the last set of episodes, with Kieran Bew (House of the Dragon) cast as Captain Charles Cunningham, a retired British soldier, Frances Tomelty (Woman in the Wall) as his mother, Elspeth, and Carla Woodcock (Such Brave Girls) joining the cast as Amaranthus Grey, a new member of the Grey family.
