Shaun Evans is Terrifying in the 'Until I Kill You' Trailer
Since the conclusion of Endeavour just over a year ago, in the U.K. in March 2023 (and then on PBS in July), fans of Shaun Evans have been impatiently waiting for his return to television. Though Evans had a career for a good decade before landing the career-defining role of young Endeavour Morse, the prequel made him a household name and built the actor a huge fandom. ITV was all over getting him back on the small screen as soon as possible, announcing in February 2023 that Evans had been cast in a new mini-series, under the working title Delia Balmer, based on the real live survivor of the same name who helped bring down serial killer John Sweeney. In a significant move to play against type, Evans was cast as Sweeney.
At the end of 2023, the four-part series, now titled Until I Kill You, was revealed to be part of ITV's planned 2024 lineup. However, since then, there's been little in the way of news about the series, other than a key art image of him and co-star Anna Maxwell Martin (Line of Duty), who plays heroine Delia Balmer. ITV recently put out the spring highlights for both the linear network and ITVX, and Until I Kill You was not listed among the coming debuts. However, the series has been picked up by multiple international networks and streaming services, including the Canadian network Hollywood Suites, which has already set a release date for the series.
Along with an April 2024 release date for the series for our neighbors to the north, there's also now a trailer giving fans their first look at Evans in action as Sweeney.
