Do you believe in soulmates? Is there really one perfect person out there for everyone, or is love just an accident of timing? Can the person that's supposedly perfect for you be precisely the wrong choice? These are the questions at the heart of Apple TV+'s film All of You, a swoon-worthy romance about two best friends who've never acknowledged their slightly less than platonic feelings for one another.
Brett Goldstein (Ted Lasso) stars as Simon, who accompanies his bestie Laura (Imogen Poots) to take a test that will purportedly determine the identity of her soulmate. The pair have years of unspoken sparks between them, but drift apart when the test confirms that Simon isn't her perfect match. But over the years that follow, the pair's lives repeatedly cross and separate through marriage, children, tragedy, and heartbreak, and both are left wondering if they've missed out on something better together. Faced with the uncertainty of changing the course of their lives, are either of them willing to risk everything for a chance at the love that's been between them all along?
The film's trailer is achingly romantic, full of longing glances, pining, giddy reunions, and tearful farewells. (And if this all has a sort of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind vibe about it, well, I think we have to assume that's on purpose.) All of You is being touted as "a love story for grown-ups," which we can likely translate as "pack tissues" because this movie is almost sure to make you cry multiple times.
Here's the film's synopsis.
Best friends since college, Simon and Laura drift apart when she takes a test that finds her soulmate despite years of unspoken feelings between them. Over the years, as their paths cross and diverge, neither can deny the feeling that they’ve missed out on a life together. Faced with the uncertainty of changing the course of their lives, are Simon and Laura willing to risk everything to experience the love that had been between them all along, or should they accept their fate?
Alongside Goldstein and Poots, the film also stars Jenna Coleman (The Jetty), Steven Cree (Outlander), Zawe Ashton (Mr. Malcolm's List), Nathaniel Christian (Dalgliesh), Nadia Albina (Bookish), Éva Magyar (Vienna Blood), and Alara-Star Khan (The Serial Killer's Wife).
All of You is co-written by Goldstein and Emmy Award winner William Bridges (Black Mirror), who makes his directorial debut with this project. Both Bridges and Goldstein also produce, alongside Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett of Ryder Picture Company. Alexander Black and Jon Rosenberg are executive producers.
The film had its world premiere at the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival before screening at this year's BFI London Film Festival. All of You will premiere in select theaters and on Apple TV+ on Friday, September 26, 2025.
