Trying first debuted on Apple TV+ in May 2020 as part of the streaming service's first-year offerings after its launch in November 2019. The British comedy, about a couple who turn to adoption after they fail to conceive naturally or via IVF, was not the breakout hit of the year for Apple -- that wound up being the show that followed directly after its run concluded, Ted Lasso. But the soccer-oriented show only lasted three seasons, while Trying continues to quietly hum along, with Season 4 arriving for 2024.

Apple TV+ shared a glimpse at Trying as part of its sizzle reel during the kick-off day of the 2024 Winter Television Critics Association press tour on February 5, 2024. The streaming service monthly focused on brand new fare, with a heavy emphasis on British and Euro-based series The New Look, The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin, and the British heavy Manhunt, plus American shows Palm Royale, Franklin, and Constellation. But the sizzle reel remembered that current fans have retuning shows to look forward to as well.

Those returning shows include the critically praised but under-watched Loot, the delightful The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy, the lovely Acapulco, more Peanuts, and Trying. Check out the entire trailer below, which shows off all the programs Apple TV+ will be debuting over the next six months.

As for Trying, the first images from Season 4 look like the newly married Jason and Nikki have a full house to contend with.

Trying stars Esther Smith as Nikki and Rafe Spall as Josh. The Season 4 cast is also expected to include Eden Togwell and Mickey McAnulty as kids Princess and Tyler, along with Oliver Chris (King Charles III) as Freddy, Sian Brooke (Blue Lights), Darren Boyd (The Outlaws), and Robyn Cara (The Rising). The series was created, written, and executive produced by Andy Wolton, with Jim O'Hanlon serving as director and executive producer and Josh Cole also serving as executive producer.

Trying Season 4 does not yet have a release date, but it is expected to arrive in the summer of 2024.
