The highly-anticipated return of The Madame Blanc Mysteries to Acorn TV for the rest of Season 3 began when the Christmas special ended in December 2023. Unlike Channel 5, where the series airs in the U.K., Madame Blanc does not immediately follow with the rest of the season beginning in January but holds until mid-February to make its debut on Acorn TV in America. While a bit of anticipation is a good thing, keeping spoiler-free is important, and with six more mysteries to go for Season 3, fans will just have to keep from clicking a little longer.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries have been running since 2021 on Acorn TV and Channel 5 in the U.K., and though they debuted to little fanfare, they have become one of the niche streamers' major hits via word of mouth. A cozy comfort mystery about an unlikely middle-aged English lady who finds herself relocated to France, not really of her own choice, and who falls elbows over teakettle into crime-solving simply by being in the wrong place at the wrong time (or the right one, as the case may be), Sally Lindsay's Jean White won over viewers' hearts without even trying.

Luckily, with the Season 3 trailer out now from Acorn, fans can get their first look at the new mysteries in store for the new season. At least a few of those turning up deceased in the wake of our antique expert's bargain-hunting will be doing so in some unexpected places. There's a fashion show, a scuba dive, fencing, fighting, romance... all Season 3 is missing is a fire swamp and a six-fingered man to make this an homage to true love.

Here’s the synopsis for Season 3:

The Madame Blanc Mysteries follows renowned and respected antiques dealer Jean White. Her expertise in the world of antiquities proves to be the key to solving a series of murders and mysteries against the backdrop of the beautiful French village of Sainte Victoire. This season sees Jean solving new mysteries, ranging from a deep-sea diving mishap to a historical duel, alongside her friend – and flirting partner – Dom.

And here are the titles and spoiler-free synopsis for the upcoming episodes:

  • “Ocean”: When a member of a marine exploration group suffers a cardiac arrest while searching the seabed, Caron enlists Jean's help to investigate whether the team of scientists were really combing for minerals – or looking for buried treasure.
  • “Duel”: After Gloria discovers the body of an unknown man with a fencing foil protruding from his chest, Jean delves into a tale of honor and the last-ever duel to take place in Sainte Victoire.
  • “Jackal”: When a woman is shot dead while holding a bag with a rare book inside, questions arise about the book’s origins and the possibility that it could lead to the killer.
  • “Fashion”: Violet Oliver is the hottest designer of the moment, but when she falls from a balcony at her fashion show and survives, Jean wonders whether it was an accident or foul play.
  • “Kidnap”: Jeremy throws Judith a surprise birthday party, but the festivities come to an abrupt end after one of the guests is kidnapped. Jean and Dom race to find the missing woman before it's too late.
  • “Windows”: To collect on a 30-year-old gambling debt, a gangster named Sonny threatens to pay Uncle Patrick a visit in Saint Victoire. To save Patrick, Jean must solve a riddle and unlock a rare treasure.

Sally Lindsay stars as Jean White, the titular Madame Blanc, with Steve Edge as Dom. Season 3 sees the return of Sue Vincent (Shameless) as Gloria Beaushaw, Alex Gaumond (Derry Girls) as Chief of Police André Caron, Tony Robinson (Time Team) as Dom’s light-fingered Uncle Patrick, and Sue Holderness (Only Fools and Horses) and Robin Askwith (Strike) as the eccentric married couple and manor owners Judith and Jeremy Lloyd James.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries, an Acorn TV Original Series, is created by Lindsay with Vincent serving as series co-writer. Dermot Boyd serves as director. Clapperboard and Saffron Cherry Productions co-produce alongside Acorn Media Enterprises. Jake Rollins produces the series, while Mike Benson and Andy Morgan serve as Executive Producers for Clapperboard alongside Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry for Saffron Cherry.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries returns for Season 3 with two episodes on Monday, February 19, 2024 on Acorn TV, and streams one episode a week on Mondays to follow through mid-March. The 2023 Christmas special, which was technically Season 3, Episode 1, is streaming on Acorn TV now.
