Keeley Hawes Drama 'Finding Alice' to Premiere on AcornTV in September
The Keeley Hawes drama Finding Alice is officially coming to the U.S. this Fall.
The six-episode series, which was co-created by former The Durrels in Corfu star Hawes, is a contemporary drama that offers a raw and darkly comic look at grief, love, and life after the unexpected death of a partner. It will premiere in its entirety on streaming platform Acorn TV beginning Monday, September 13.
BAFTA winner Hawes stars as the titular Alice, alongside several other recognizable faces in Agatha Raisin's Jason Merrells, Gentleman Jack's Gemma Jones, The White Princess's Kenneth Cranham, Coronation Street's Nigel Havers, and Absolutely Fabulous's Joanna Lumley. The series has already been renewed by a second season by U.K. broadcaster ITV.

The series follows the story of Alice, her husband Harry, and their daughter Charlotte. The family has just bought a new home, and moving in should have been a dream come true for them all. But it quickly turns into a nightmare when tragedy strikes, and Alice discovers Harry dead at the bottom of their stairs. Harry designed their new smart house, so it’s weird and wonderful, and one more disorientation for Alice on top of her sense of loss and abandonment. Her beloved partner is no more, and now she can't figure out how to work the fridge.
Neither Harry's parents nor Alice's own are much help, and in many cases only seem to add to her list of problems. And with Harry gone and her mother struggling to cope with...well, everything, Charlotte is forced to bottle up her grief and be the responsible one. Especially when the police turn up asking questions about the night her father died. And when more unexpected visitors start knocking on Alice’s door, she begins to realize that Harry’s business debt wasn’t the only secret he kept hidden from her.
