Jed Mercurio Thriller 'Trigger Point' Will Stream on Peacock This July
The name Jed Mecurio has essentially become synonymous with the idea of a high-octane dramatic thriller. From Bodyguard to Line of Duty, his shows are fast-paced and propulsive, full of shocking twists and compelling, if often morally gray, characters.
His latest effort, Trigger Point, is set in the high-pressure world of bomb disposal, and ticks many of the same boxes: It follows the stories of several members of the Metropolitan Police's bomb squad, who risk their lives daily on "the long walk: towards danger. The series was ITV's highest-rated drama of the past year, with over 10 million people tuning in to watch its premiere, and it's now set to come to America, by way of streaming service Peacock.
The NBC streaming platform is something of an underrated treasure trove for Anglophiles, having brought over several popular British TV programs in the past few years, including Vigil, Save Me, The Capture, and Noughts + Crosses.
