'Harry Wild' Sets a Return Date for Season 4

Jane Seymour as Harry in 'Harry Wild' Season 4
AcornTV
Acorn TV's flagship hit series, Harry Wild, has set a return date for 2025. The series has become the hit series for Acorn TV and a "proof of concept" (alongside My Life Is Murder) that the current formula the streaming service has hit on to make an original series is actually a successful one. Both shows take an actor whose fame already peaked in the U.S., put them in a cozy crime series close to their home country with an oddball crew, and then focus on the chemistry that makes the group tick far more than the mystery of the week. In the case of Harry Wild, it's wound up with a show that's run three seasons, with a fourth due out in May 2025.
Acorn TV's announcement confirming the return of Harry Wild in early May is the second press release announcing the premiere of one of the shows following this formula. Art Detectives, which stars Stephen Moyer (best remembered for his stint on HBO's True Blood in the early aughts), has already been given a June premiere date, which (if I have my calendar correct) will premiere right around Harry Wild's Season 4 finale.
Though it's not quite as effective as the old method linear channels used to use (and still do!) of scheduling the network's big hit at 9 p.m. ahead of a new show that needs a boost at 10 p.m., it is helpful in churn reduction, having one show arrive as the previous one concludes. Considering Harry Wild Season 3 successfully helped carry Acorn TV's entire rebrand in 2024, supporting a new series launch shouldn't be that big of a lift.
Here's the new season's synopsis:
Season 4 picks up a year after Season 3, and business couldn’t be better at the Wild/Reid Detective Agency as Harry and Fergus welcome an unexpected client: Charlie Wild. Elsewhere, Harry is hired by a friend and former wild child turned nun, Lola, who stumbles upon a dance school mystery, a Dublin literary tour takes a bloody turn, and more. Meanwhile, Fergus’ hopes of going to college at the same time as Lola are threatened when she gets an incredible offer to study abroad.
Jane Seymour (Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman) and Rohan Nedd (Whitstable Pearl) will once again co-star alongside Kevin Ryan (Guilt) as Charlie Wild, Rose O’Neill (Sherlock & Daughter) as Sister Lola, Paul Tylak (Kin) as Glenn Talbot, and pop-star turned actor Samantha Mumba (Loftus Hall) as Fergus’ mother, Paula Kenny.
Series creator David Logan wrote all six episodes of Season 4, along with Jo Spain; Robin Quinn will direct all episodes. The series is executive produced by Logan, Spain, and Seymour, along with Daniel March, Klaus Zimmermann, James Gibb, David McLoughlin, Catherine Mackin, and Bea Tammer.
Harry Wild Season 4 will premiere with two episodes on Acorn TV on Monday, May 5, 2025, with one episode a week to follow through mid-June.
