Get Your First Look at Starz Crime Drama 'Dublin Murders'
European crime drama Dublin Murders will officially arrive in the U.S. via premium cable network Starz this Fall.
Based on the best-selling Dublin Murder Squad series by author Tana French, the psychological thriller follows a pair of detectives played by C.B. Strike’s Killian Scott and Penny Dreadful’s Sarah Greene as they investigate a mysterious and chilling case involving the murder of a young girl outside Dublin. However, as anyone who’s ever watched a show like this before probably already knows, that’s only the beginning of the story.
Because the girl that’s gone missing disappeared in circumstances that appear eerily similar to those in which Detective Rob Ryan and three of his friends vanished in the woods as a child. As the case intensifies, his relationship with his detective partner and best friend Cassie Maddox is stressed to the breaking point, and Cassie must face her own demons when she’s assigned as an undercover agent for another murder investigation.
(There are a lot of big twists in this story, and the less you know the better. Just saying.)
Dublin Murders will premiere at 8pm on Sunday, November 10, adding yet another program into an already overly clogged night of quality drama. (See also: Podark, The Durrells in Corfu, Press.)
The series is based on the first two installments in French’s Murder Squad books, Into the Woods and The Likeness. There are currently six novels in the series thus far, including Faithful Place, Broken Harbor, The Secret Place and The Trespasser, which follow a variety of other characters and cases. (This makes for an interesting predicament, however. How will the TV series handle the fact that the later novels all switch to different POV characters? We'll have to wait and see, I suppose!)

The series will premiere in the U.K. in October on BBC One, but at least we’ll only be a few weeks behind here in the U.S. when it comes to our screens here.
