Good news, mystery fans: Crime drama Unforgotten has been officially picked up for a fourth season!

The show stars Last Tango in Halifax’s Nicola Walker as DCI Cassie Stuart and Sanjeev Bhaskar as her partner in crime-solving, DS Sunny Khan. The two solve “emotionally charged and compelling” cold case murders and disappearances, and each season looks at the slow unraveling of a historical crime.

Unforgotten’s first two seasons finally aired here in the U.S. earlier this year in back-to-back installments, and the show was a surprise hit for PBS’ Masterpiece. The third just finished airing in the U.K. a few weeks ago, and looks set to come to America next year.

ITV greenlights a fourth series of hit drama, Unforgotten. The fourth season will once again be comprised of six episodes, focused on the various suspects involved in a single cold case. Season 1 investigated the death of a 16-year-old school boy, while the second covered the murder of a political consultant.

Season 3, which has yet to air in the U.S., follows the story of a schoolgirl who disappeared on New Year’s Eve.

“We have been delighted with the reception of the first three series of Unforgotten and are thrilled to commission a fourth installment,” ITV Head of Drama Polly Long said in a statement. Chris Lang’s writing is incredibly powerful and his storytelling utterly compelling, so we have no doubt that the new case will have viewers gripped again.”

Series creator Lang will also once again have writing duties on the new season and generally sounds pretty chuffed about news of the series’ renewal.
