Call The Midwife Season 14 kicked off with a double-helping over the holidays, as the series debuted its first-ever two-part holiday special. As always, the Cristmas Day premiere of the series (which in this case was followed by Part 2 on Boxing Day), is quickly joined on the BBC by the show's regular season, debuting in the U.K. on Sunday, January 5, 2025. For a long time, that meant U.S. viewers had to keep alert for spoilers crossing the pond until the series arrived at the end of March. However, PBS Passport members will not have to wait that long, as the series will once again get an early release on the platform.

As expected, early access to the new season of Call The Midwife has officially been confirmed for 2025. While those who only have PBS on linear or the PBS app on their televisions will still have to wait until the very end of March to watch the new season, PBS Passport members will get a head start, new episodes of Season 14 will debut weekly, one month ahead of their linear premiere.

For those who fast-forward through their local station's pledge drives (or get up and wander off), PBS Passport is the streaming service benefit that comes with a mug and tote bag when you support your local station. For streaming churners, it's $5 for a month; for those who tend to commit to their streaming services longer term, it's $60 for a year. (That's usually the level where the mug/tote bag gets included.) Call The Midwife Seasons 10-12 are currently streaming on PBS Passport, and Season 13 will return to PBS' member service starting on Saturday, February 1, 2025, so it's a perfect time to join.

If you're currently not a member of your local PBS but want early access to Call The Midwife, signing up is easy; you get access to a ton of programming, and you can feel good about supporting public television (and Telly Visions!) while you're at it.

Here is the synopsis for Call The Midwife's kick-off episode for Season 14:

It's March 1970. The team supports a pregnant teenage girl whose parents believe in an immaculate conception. Demonstrations cause havoc for the Nonnatus team whilst Nancy's relationship blossoms.

Season 14 will see the return of everyone's favorites, starting with Helen George returning as Trixie, though technically, she's splitting her time between London and New York. (How bi-continental of her.) She'll be joined by the show's stalwarts Laura Main, Stephen McGann, Judy Parfitt, Jenny Agutter, Cliff Parisi, Annabelle Apsion, Linda Bassett, Daniel Laurie, Georgie Glen, Zephryn Taitte, Megan Cusack, Rebecca Gethings, Renee Bailey, and Natalie Quarry. In the teen cast, Season 14 will also feature Max Macmillan, Alice Brown, April Rae Hong, Ned Shaw, and Francesca Fullilove.
