There are two kinds of hit TV shows in the streaming landscape: Those that garner large audiences by delivering precisely what an audience expects without providing anything new or adding anything to the conversation and those that change the course of the entertainment waters. There is nothing wrong with the former, to be sure. Blue Lights, which debuted its second season on BritBox on Thursday, June 13, 2024, is a perfect example. It is a police procedural that follows the same course as previous game changers, Happy Valley and Line of Duty. It is a good watch, sensitive to the politics of the moment, and entertaining. It also has something to say, but nothing you haven't heard before.

Compare that to Bridgerton, which dropped the back half of Season 3 on the same day. Not only will the changes from the books spend the next few days dominating the online conversation, but since it first debuted in 2020, it has spawned multiple imitators, put period piece series on notice that representation is mandatory, and created stars out of half of its cast. But what truly makes Bridgerton stand apart is that even minor design details, like the soundtrack, have affected the entertainment landscape. Since Season 1 remade Taylor Swift's "Wildest Dreams" as an instrumental piece on period-appropriate instruments over one of its major sex scenes, covers of pop tunes redone for period dramas have been all the rage.

Naturally, Season 3 brings a whole new set of songs redone for 1815, but with the season cleaved in two, only half the songs arrived with the season's debut. But now that both halves of the season are out, so is the full soundtrack.

Here is the complete soundtrack listing.
