6 British Shows to Stream in August of 2021
July brought a bountiful harvest of British content coming to American streaming services, with multiple debuts across nearly a dozen streamers, many of which are still dropping episodes this month. August slows it down and skips Netflix entirely for a second month this year. But though it may be the dog days of summer, there are still new series to check out.
So, what's coming to the U.S. in British TV this August? Let's run down the biggest titles arriving this month.

PBS Passport celebrates by bringing back 2020's Season 9 for an encore streaming performance starting Aug. 4 so fans can reorient themselves to where all the characters stand. PBS Passport viewers should also note that Season 10 will begin streaming early for members at the very end of the month.
Before We Die Season 2
Walter's Choice also brings new episodes to PBS Passport in August with Season 2 of Before We Die. Please note, this is the original Swedish crime drama series starring Marie Richardson as Detective Hannah Svensson, not the U.K. remake that just debuted earlier this year with Lesley Sharp. Season 1 saw her confronting a case that became personal when her lover Sven went missing. Season 2 brings her back to continue the hunt for the Mimica family. All eight episodes arrive on Aug. 5.
