Watch: The First Trailer for 'Moone Boy' Series 2

Quirky comedy Moone Boy has recently began airing on many PBS stations around the country and if you’ve not checked this series out for yourself yet, you can find a handy guide to it right here.

While us Americans are experiencing the show’s first season, the UK is gearing up for the launch of the comedy’s second outing, which is set to premiere on February 17 on British cable network Sky One.

Developed from one of Sky's Little Crackers comedy shorts, the Chris O'Dowd and Nick Vincent Murphy-written series tells the story of loveable lad Martin Moone, and his travails growing up in late eighties/early nineties Ireland with a houseful of sisters and an imaginary friend (O'Dowd).

The first trailer for the comedy’s Series 2 return has been released, and from all appearances, we’re in for a lot more awkard secondary embarrassment, but hopefully an equally large amount of great guest starts , fun animated bits and general charm.

The show has already been renewed for a third series beyond this one, so we’ve lots more to look forward to after this.

No word on when Moone Boy Series 2 will make it to American screens, but we’ll keep you posted!

    Some of you probably already knew that quirky comedy series Moone Boy would be returning for a third season - but just in case you didn’t, rejoice, because it’s totally happening! UK cable network Sky 1 has released the trailer for the next installment of the popular series, which is scheduled to get underway in the UK this March.

  • Meet 'Moone Boy'

    Martin Paul Kenny Dalglish Moone is a twelve year old boy who lives in Boyle, Ireland with his parents and a trio of older sisters. He has many of the same problems as most boys his age – the inevitable confusion of puberty, bullies at school, sibling tiffs. He also has a youthful naivety, a love of drawing and a vivid imagination.

    This is the premise of Moone Boy, a sitcom I just finished watching this weekend. Originally broadcast in the UK on Sky1 last fall, the entire series is currently available in the States on Hulu – new episodes go up every Wednesday, or if you have Hulu Plus, you can stream the full series right now.

    If you’re a fan of Chris O’Dowd, he is not only the co-writer and co-star but his childhood is the subject of this delightful semi-autobiographical series. If you’re partial to slightly surreal, coming of age comedy, you don’t need my encouragement. You’ve probably already watched it anyway.

    But if you’re not sure if Moone Boy is for you, allow me to illustrate some if its more unique points.
