Juno Temple to Lead Apple TV+'s 'The Husbands'

Just because Jason Sudeikis and Apple TV+ cannot leave Ted Lasso alone after three seasons doesn't mean the entire cast is frozen, waiting for the show to return. Phil Dunster joined Surface Season 2, Brett Goldstein has a movie called All of You, Hannah Waddingham will co-star in The Woman in Cabin 10, and Sarah Niles is doing The Thursday Murder Club. However, none of those are quite as big as the show's breakout star Juno Temple, who has landed the lead role in a series that's being created entirely for her, called The Husbands.

The new series is based on the debut novel by British author and games designer Holly Gramazio. Entitled The Husbands, just like the series, the novel is a comedic romance (well, sort of) about a single woman named Lauren who wakes up one morning to discover she has a husband, a man she does not know or remember marrying. But he's not the only man who suddenly walks into her life. In fact, every time she turns around, there's another man claiming to be her husband coming down the stairs. Upon heading up to investigate, Lauren discovers her attic is generating her spouses.... an infinite supply of them.

Temple will star in the series as Lauren, but fans of Ted Lasso should not worry if this will prevent her from returning for Season 4. Since Apple TV+ is producing both shows, and Temple is not an executive producer on the project, just the lead, it's almost guaranteed Apple will work something out between the two series to allow her to appear in both.
